As there are 3 secure dog parks side by side, they can see each other clearly through the fencing and get right up to each other. Unfortunately the Agility field which I thought would be fun had fences on either side where my 2 could clearly see and react to the other dogs minding their own business in the adjacent dog parks. Very stressful for us. I can't recommend sadly for reactive dogs but if yours are chilled and you're practicing recall in a lovely spot, then go for it.”

How does booking work at Keynsham Dog Park?
You book a private 50-minute session online, pay by card, and your gate code is emailed to you by 4:30am on the morning of your visit (straight away if you book for the same day).
Pick a day, a time and one of our three fields on the live booking calendar. It shows all availability, so you can choose a quiet slot. Your booking is confirmed by email as soon as payment goes through.
When you arrive, go through the double-gate entrance and the field is yours for the full 50 minutes. You can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before your session, or reschedule from your account up to 4 hours before it starts.
How much does Keynsham Dog Park cost?
A private 50-minute session costs £8 pay-as-you-go, for up to 4 dogs from the same household. Book 9 pay-as-you-go sessions and the 10th is free.
Regular visitors can save with a monthly membership: Essential is £50 a month for 10 sessions (£5 each, with up to 3 unused sessions rolling over), and Unlimited is £120 a month for one session a day.
If you need the neighbouring field kept empty, for a reactive dog, five or more dogs or a dog business, sessions are £12.50, or £75 a month for 10 sessions (Business) or £180 a month for one a day (Business Unlimited).
Is there a secure dog field for reactive dogs near Bristol and Bath?
Yes. Keynsham Dog Park, between Bristol and Bath, has three separate fields enclosed by 6ft fencing, and each booking gives you one field to yourself, so no other dog can come into your space during your 50-minute session.
Each field is between 0.75 and 1.25 acres. You go in through a double-gate airlock, so two closed gates always sit between your dog and the road, and there is a 10-minute gap between sessions so you won't meet the next visitor at the gate.
The fields sit side by side, so a dog in the next field can sometimes be seen at the shared fence. If that would be too much for your dog, pick a quiet slot on the live booking calendar, or book with a Reactive Dog Account (£12.50 a session), which keeps the neighbouring field empty every time. Others won't be ready for that yet — and you'll know which camp your dog is in far better than we do. There's no pressure either way.

We did look into this, but unfortunately it is not something we are able to do. Any fabric or mesh would flap and billow in the wind, and for anxious or reactive dogs an unpredictable moving object running the full length of the fence line would almost certainly cause more distress than an occasional glimpse of a dog next door.

We use a double-gate airlock system. You'll receive your gate code by email when you book. Walk through the outer gate, close it behind you, then open the inner gate into the field. Two gates are always closed between your dog and the road.
Yes. XL Bullies and other DDA-restricted breeds are welcome, but conditions apply and are non-negotiable — required by our insurer. Before your first visit you must provide us with a Certificate of Exemption (or exemption order) and a public liability insurance certificate for the dog; both are kept on file. Outside the enclosed field — including the car park, paths, and the airlock gate area — your dog must be on a lead and muzzled at all times. Once inside the field with the gate securely shut, the muzzle comes off and they can run free. Each restricted breed dog must have its own dedicated 1:1 handler.
The park stays open in all weather. We recommend wellies between October and March — the field can get muddy after heavy rain. There is a weather shelter on site.
Yes — up to 4 dogs from the same household per booking at no extra charge. For larger groups get in touch about extended group sessions or register a business account.
You can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before your session. Inside that window, the booking is non-refundable — but we're reasonable about genuine emergencies, so drop us a line.
There are 6 designated parking spaces — 2 per area — with at least 3 metres of open space between the nearest spaces for any adjacent area.
Sessions are timed to stagger arrivals and departures naturally. Area 1 always starts on the hour, Area 2 starts 20 minutes later, and Area 3 twenty minutes after that. Each session is 50 minutes, so by the time the next visitor is due to arrive for your area, you should already be on your way out. Assuming visitors arrive and leave on time, the chances of crossing paths with another dog in the car park are very low.
If you have a reactive dog and want to minimise any chance of an encounter, arriving at your start time rather than early and leaving promptly at the end of your session gives you the most breathing room.
Yes — free parking directly adjacent to the park. You can unload your dog safely right next to the entrance.
Fresh water is on site, poo bags are in the shelter, bins are at the entrance. Bring your own ball or toy — we find they have more fun with their favourites.
All dogs must have current standard vaccinations. This protects the next dog on the field. We don't ask for proof at the gate, but by booking you're confirming your dog is up to date.
